ATA are using their L1011-100s between Manchester and Orlando/SFB this Summer, due to range limitations there is a refuelling stop in both directions.
ATA refuel at Gander in Canada, rather than the more common stop at Bangor, Maine.
I would have thought the L1011-500 would have been more suitable equipment, as it can make the flights nonstop. I would expect this type isn't used because it seats a significantly smaller number of passengers than it's larger (but shorter ranged) brother.
