You have to respect Bruce's passion for aviation,on the current north american tour while in Edmonton he met up with the folks from Buffalo Airways and flew one of their DC-3's from Edmonton Muni airport to Hay River and Yellowknife. He also managed to fly the DC-4 as well. The awesome thing as well is that this was all filmed and it will end up in a future episode of Ice Pilots NWT.

That's so cool. Bruce never fails to disappoint! Total airplane nerd like us...he just so happens to front one of the biggest rock/metal bands of all time!
If there were truly a most interesting man in the world contest, Bruce would be my top nomination. Frontman, musician, pilot, airline manager, MRO business founder, fencer, radio DJ, the list goes on and on. True Renaissance man.
Up the irons, Bruce!!! Live to fly, Fly to live, Aces High!!!
We will ride this thunderbird, silver shadows on the earth, a thousand leagues away our land of birth... -Captain Bruce

That was really cool to see. How is Maiden getting around on tour now without their own dedicated plane? Just regular commercial? I know Bruce would fly the band around Europe in his Cessna 421 Golden Eagle before the 757s, while the equipment would get trucked.
