On his radio show, Rush Limbaugh often mentions his personal plane, affectionately dubbed 'EIB One.' I believe it is either a Gulfstream IV or V. Does anyone know the plane's registration, home base, or ownership details? Does Mr. Limbaugh own the plane outright, or is it a lease-share arrangement? Thanks for any information.

Mr. 'Man of the People' Limbaugh actually lives in a castle here on Palm Beach. While I can't stand his poltics, I will give him credit for being an aviation buff....he once spent almost an hour talking about a guided tour he received at the Boeing plant in Seattle.
From buddies in Customs here, I know that his plane is a fractional ownership program aircraft. I'm sorry, I don't know the make. His two primary destinations are New York, where his radio studios are(although he rarely uses them anymore....his castle here is fully equipped with a world class radio studio)....and a vacation spot in the Dominican Republic that he's fond of.
For what its' worth, my sources say he's always a gentleman and very courteous (unlike many of the 'celebrities' who go in and out of PBI)....although I'm told his wife can be 'high maintenance'.
Incidentally, he just signed a new 250 million dollar contract, so maybe 'fractional' will become permanent!

I think given Rush's home, he shouldn't be flying a Gulfstream V or Bombardier Global Express because I don't see a penchant for him to fly to countries across the water that much.
He should buy a Cessna Citation X, the world's fastest executive jet (it can cruise at Mach 0.92 easily, essentially Sonic Cruiser speed). The Citation X easily has the range to fly FLL-SEA non-stop.
I've met Mr. Limbaugh several times and believe me, he's one of the most gracious persons you've ever met. I've seen pictures of his current home studio and it really is very state of the art, with an amazing setup of computers used to store music for the Internet-only Grooveyard of Forgotten Favorites preshow.
