Well,
There were those who said Britannia and Hapag Lloyd were not changing their liveries. However, here is the proof!

All travel companies in the Preussag group will now adopt a common branding, dubbed World of TUI Airlines Britannia, Hapag Lloyd and Corsair are no exceptions, adoping the new light blue overall coulours whith red titles.

Have to say I'm totally unimpressed, while adopting a common branding is an obvious cost-saving measure, the chosen branding isn't going to set the world on fire. Just a very plain image...

OH DEAR GOD! Please, tell me the old man in the wheelchair on Britannias is going to survive!! It would be a sad day in aviation when the old man is gone.

The lady is gone, replaced with a red smile. Can't find a complete picture of a plane with Britannia titles yet.

The new BY livery is identical to that shown on the B737 except it says 'Britannia' instead of 'Hapag Lloyd'/

Please somebody start a campaign to "Save The Lady"

This new scheme looks like a hurried wet-lease from Korean Airlines, and the TUI logo will mean zip to the UK travelling public..

I think this is one for "The Sun" to get it`s teeth into...

Well at least it's not all white, but I do agree with everyone who responded so far.....It is ugly and boring. I do not like the fact that Britannia and Hapag Lloyd will basicaly have the same livery! I liked the stripes and the logo of Britannia.

Yes, you could say this livery "sucks". Very dissapointing! BY's 767s are some of the nicest looking 76's out there.

I too agree that holy crap it sucks. This is one of the ugliest I have seen. I am totally unimpressed. I thought it would be similar to the current scheme, in a way, similar to ATA's new scheme, which really isn't that bad. This new Hapag Lloyd livery is terrible. The Britannia livery was pretty good and now it is gone  Sad. Is it me or are a lot of airlines going from good liveries to bad liveries?

maybe if enough people complain and say how ugly it is they will change it, like when LTU changed their livery to the white livery, but alot of thier pax complained and LTU went back to the all red with the white stripe livery.

Can somebody explain to me how ANY European airline executive with six-tenths of a brain would pull a Union Jack off a British airline livery after all the fun we've just seen with World Images!!!!???????????????????

In the States we call this rush to market the hippest, dopiest design NO ONE gets as being "too hip for the room".

Condolences from Florida. Britannia was sharp.

Actually VH-KCT*, the person who´s responsible for this is Mr. Michael Frenzel, CEO of the Preussag Company in Hannover. This Company already owns famous brands like HF, Britannia, Thomas Cook Travel, TUI, ...! Preussag is the largest travel company in the world. And for marketing-reasons, so Mr. Frenzel, it´s necessary to give all brands the same ID = TUI.

greetings from Niedersachsen

PS: BTW, Mr. Frenzel is livin´in my hometown, 30km out of Hannover (HAJ), and his son was in my geographic-class at school

And it is also a pitty for Hapag-Lloyd. There are not that many airlines with a smashing orange tail.

From the tui-homepage
http://www.tui.com/wot_en/press/index.html

"A smile becomes a shared sign of quality

World of TUI gives our tourism brands a clearly identifiable international look. It maintains the diversity of our tourism brands at the same time as creating a globally visible brand-world -- a shared sign of quality, of a kind never seen before in the tourism industry. We therefore selected a smile as the new logo because a smile is one of the few forms of expression that has no national or cultural boundaries. It also succinctly expresses our vision: »Putting a smile on people’s faces«. "
