Trust me folks when it comes to the prettiest, most colorful livery ever put on a plane it's got to be Braniff International. I remember flying on their 727s resplendant in their "jellybean" colors back in 1968-1970. There's nothing like taxiing around LGA in a lime-green or powder-blue 727! Oh yeah, Ecuatoriana's livery was pretty outragious too-especially their gold 707 freighter. One more thing I want to say besides Merry Xmas to everyone, I remember once being fortunate enough to fly in the jumpseat in a BOAC 707-336C Freighter from JFK to LHR back in 1970. I have never experienced a truly frightening noise-abatement maneouver like this one. Shortly after TO on 31L as I recall the CPT.( who was a long time friend of the family and the one who got me on board) put the plane into a steep climbing righthand turn coupled with a sharp reduction in power. Needless to say I thought the plane was going to stall and crash much like an American Airlines 707Astrojet did back in 1962 when it too followed the same procedure that we had just performed. The crew however didn't flinch at the maneouver at all. I asked my good friend the CPT. about it later in the flight it he said that's standard procedure at JFK-true professionals.

I agree that Braniff has had the best liveries on their planes. I specially enjoyed the liveries with the spaghetti squiggly lines on the entire fuselage. If any of you has seen a picture of this livery, please let me know, I haven't seen one.

I think Virgin both Express and Atlantic are the best not everybody would put Virgin on there plane or a word like that. It would be better if the put pictures of there FA's on them thmen they would be the prettyest.

The Braniff plane with the red and blue lines all over is.....
It was one of the Braniff Calder aircraft, The 727-200 was painted with red and blue wavey stripes painted all over to resemble the US flag.....The aircraft was painted in this special livery in 1976 to celebrate 200 years of the USA......
In my opinion that is one of the most beuatiful aircraft ever...
