At approximately 09.30 this morning August 6th, I was seated on the port side of my flight from MSP-SFO, and as we taxied out to take off, I looked across to the starboard side window opposite my row, and I swear I saw a CRJ200 taking off and it was in the previous colours called "wavy gravy" I believe it's called. Did my eyes play a trick on me as I thought these had all been painted into the current colours several weeks ago?

Yes I'm familiar with the Skywest Colours and it's possible that is what I saw, as I only saw the aircraft for a split second. I suppose FlightAware would have all the flights for the CRJs in the Skywest colours, and we could see which one flew out of MSP this morning at around 09.30. Do we have an up to date list of such aircraft available?

Before the thread was archived, this was the status:
TOTAL to be repainted = 5
Chautauqua = 2
Skywest = 3
Chautauqua:
ERJ-145LR = 2
N578RP N579RP
.............................[N578RP has been evidenced by photo in new livery]. Thus N579RP is still not confirmed.
SkyWest:
CRJ-200 = 3
N410SW N411SW N438SW
A check on Flight Aware for the three CRJ-200 aircraft revealed
N410SW - arrived MSP at 1430 on 6th August.
N411SW - departed MSP at 0911 to CVG
N438SW - SLC based all day.
Thus N411SW was the aircraft seen - good spotting.
These three aircraft may not get repainted due to possible retirement [based on DL Connection reduction of CRJ200 fleets].

Great investigative work! LOL Glad to see my mind isn't leaving me (too young for that).

I'm not so sure. DL painted Saabs and DC9s only to retire them not too long after. There are 5500 series 757s that got new paint only to be sent to the desert months later. Doubtful they will return to service.

Remember though, the paint is more or less up to OO. My guess is Delta would have no worries if they didn't paint them and they were some of the first aircraft to be replaced.

True for a/c not under direct contract, but DL is actually footing the bill for all the a/c that are ship specific to the DCI program. DL also pays for all interior mods (FC, wifi, carpeting, etc.).
