Three people escaped injury when the plane they were in overshot a runway at Durham Tees Valley Airport due to a bird strike.
Emergency services were alerted when the pilot of the Falcon 20 jet aborted the take-off at the airport near Darlington earlier.
The 20-seater plane, operated by Cobham Aviation Services, suffered minor damage in the incident.
Air accident investigators have begun an inquiry.
