My least favorite airport would have to be ORD, because it is too big and dirty. I would much rather fly into MDW. ORD is also too busy.

Making tight connections are tough in O'hare. What is your least favorite airport and why?

I'd have to say St. Louis because of the same reasons Traytable mentioned, and the fact that the only airline you see is mainly TWA. Also, all of my flights out of there heading back west have been extremely turbulent.

By the way I love TWA but when you have a five hour layover like I did a few weeks ago, you wanna see something different.

Fritzi,

Try CDG for late departures! Heck the AF flights to Montreal have been, on average, 3-4 hours late every day for the past 2 months!

My least airport is Caracas (CCS), because is too dirty with a few fresh air , is a warmest airport. Lima is a another least airport but with the new concession will be a great terminal. Go Lima to the future.
A think one of the excellent airport in latin america is Santiago Arturo Merino Benitez SCL.

Harrharr...
I will be on one of the AF flights to YUL next week...
Hope they have enough champagne inflight to calm me down.
Must be something about YUL that they hesitate to lift off in time. What is the reason?

Kansas City (MCI). Very boring. Good number of arrivals & departures, but the 3 terminals are like ghost towns and there is nothing good to see and nowhere good to watch air traffic.

Don't any of you enjoy layovers? I pass the time by asking for tours of different A/C I am not flying on. Or I am eating in the Restaurant, or shopping in the Airline Gift Shop. I dislike DTW currently, but that will change in Jan with the new Terminal. I am not crazy about MEM, but it is a decent facility and is improving.

My least fave airport has to be MCO / Orlando Intl.

I flew through there in 1999 from London Gatwick with Virgin Atlantic, and compared to the UK airport I thought MCO was awful. The staff were useless, and it was so hot, no air conditioning!!!.

It was also too big, give me good old Gatwick any day,. Small, fast, and still not quite as busy as Heathrow to lose it`s freindliness.

BIG ONE FOR GATWICK!!!.

Yes, I love layovers when there is something interesting to see.

I was at St. Louise from 6pm-11:30pm and must have seen about 40-45 TWA airplanes. While my friend slept, I went up and down the concourse trying to spot other airplanes, but didn't really see anything of interest. I guess it didn't help that it had gotten dark. Besides, the way TWA's terminal is made, the only aircrafts that comes into view outside is, TWA.

Montreal Dorval Airport. It's small, cramped, old, ugly but I must admit there is a nice variety of airlines that serve the airport. However the city of Montreal is different, it's one of the best in the world.

La Guardia! ORD is not old by no means man. Maybe there are delays but the airport isnt old at all. T-5 is 6-7 years old the rest older but still look new. ORD isnt dirty at all. That is total BS. Isnt cool when an airport is busy? I mean would you rather fly to Central Wisconsin and see maybe 15 planes a day? I as a spotter at ORD think ORD offers a great chance for those who love aviation.

Miami (MIA), its probably the worst major airport I have ever been to in my life. You feel so claustraphobic in that thing, the ceiling is SO low in the arrivals section (Concourse F). Also, it has too few windows, which makes it quite dark.

I absolutely hate it.

I didn't like FRA either. I mean, the inside is nice and everything, but its like a maze. Very confusing to get around.

Regards.

I do not like MCI either because, yes, it is a ghost town. I know, because I fly in and out of MCI all the time. There really is nothing to do there. Out of the others I have been too, I do not like EWR because the people there are rude, it is a terrible place for spotting, and there is way too many flights, causing delays all the time.

LOT767-300ER,

I must admit, Terminal 5 is very impressive, new, and very clean.

However, the rest of the terminals are very poor. Also, the way that ORD is designed, makes congestion very high. Its difficult for planes to get around ORD (gate to runway, runway to gate), thats what happens to most when they are heavily expanded.

The restrooms in ORD (excluding Terminal 5) are absolutely filthy. I get grossed out when I even think of them.

I'm not saying ORD is bad, I think its an okay airport, but it is a mess now.

However, AMS is totally different. That thing has been expanded maybe 10 times, yet its so easy to get around, and very little congestion.
