How Is The Superjet Project Since The Crash?

Hi all.

It is a long time since I heard anything about the Superjet, and in fact the last thing I recall hearing was, regrettably, about the crash in Indonesia.

How is the project doing since then? Were any orders lost directly as a result of the incident? Also, and apologies if this is deemed to already be common knowledge by many, but what has the investigation established about that incident so far?

Such a gorgeous plane. I only hope that all is not lost because of that tragic accident.

The last thing I've heard is that Armavia has dumped the fleet. They claim it is because the plane wasn't up to standard, but they've also been facing some serious financial issues lately...

That was fast. I'll do some searches when I get back home but yeah I'm wondering where those frames ended up going. Hopefully not to the Grim Reaper (the axe)

Since the crash in Indonesia Interjet converted in firm orders 5 options. The first Superjet for Interjet is now in the Alenia tech facilities to complete the interiors. It will be' delivered at the beginning of 2013. Aeroflot has receved the 10th Superjet few days ago.
Indonesian airline Sky Aviation confirmed his interest in the SSJ and Trasaero placed a firm order for 6 planes.
I think it's all for the moment.

The accident investigation so far concluded:
1. No malfunction in the aircraft.
2. EGPWS was working (but no details about it).
3. No explanation as to why they continued into the mountain after the right orbit on descent from 10000 to 6000.

Sky Aviation and Kartika Air says they're going to proceed with their order (But Kartika isn't flying at the moment)... Sky however has started operating 737-300s last month. So a bit hazy on our end down here.

The biggest issue facing the Superjet project at the moment is not the aftermath of the crash but rather the financial resources for ramping up production. Flight International reported on this last week - a lot of state money has gone into the programme but it's not eligible for further funding post-certification. Russia's audit chamber has even suggested the entire programme could be threatened if the funding is insufficient.

Pretty much as expected. Returned the aircraft for a check and Sukhoi said 'ha - you're not having this back until you clear the debt.' Or words to that effect.

The Pravda article does say:

In other words, computers working correctly but some set of human factors preventing the pilots from believing the warnings. Note that this is not necessarily only a fault of the pilots, the article goes on to discuss a request to the Indonesian flight control office that went unanswered.

Is that to the office or to the ATC?
I do suspect that after the aircraft completed the orbit on descent to 6000, they called the ATC again and couldn't get an answer (ATC was focused on the major inflow into CGK), so the aircraft continued on the previous heading before the orbit.
But then, were they aware of the mountain ahead of them? I also want to know what was briefed to them at the Briefing Office in Halim Airport prior to the flights.
