From the T-100 Q4 2011 pax numbers, the top 10 domestic markets in order to/from MDT are: Orlando, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Charlotte, Tampa, Miami, Phoenix, and Minneapolis/St/ Paul.
Of those, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Tampa, Miami, Phoenix, and Minneapolis/St/ Paul currently do not have n/s service here.
AA, UA, US, DL, F9 are the current domestic carriers currently there, along with AC as an foreign-flag carrier. I could be wrong, but I couldn't imagine any foreign destination have more pax from MDT than the domestic destinations.
Now..... DFW, LAX, PHX and FLL are the busiest of the airports here in the cities with multi-airports.
So...... let's assume this new airline to be NK, that could put either DFW and FLL as possible destinations. Or if the airport is FLL, then either NK or B6 or G4 would work. Or even G4 to TPA? If it's Phoenix, it could be G4 to AZA. And on a very long-shot LAX, maybe either G4 or VX? And I would bet my bank account that VX won't be the new airline. And let's throw in SY to MSP just for the fun of it.
