This is probably a strange question, but does DL routinely have an aircraft parked at their headquarter gates for appearance during the day. I've been there numerous times and have seen to 2 767's parked angled, a 332 a few times, and even a 77L. It's a very nice treat to get that close to those birds and a great gesture from the airline. However, it could be just available space to park an aircraft not in use.

The north ramp is used in part for interiors work. I'm familiar with the recarpeting aspect.

The building you are seeing is not headquarters, rather its just part of TechOps where they handle a good chunk of interior maint. Headquarters is across the street behind the renaissance hotel, FBO, and a bunker type hill.

For those of you that are very good, you should be able to faintly make out the old airport footprint.
