I like to go the airport just to hang out, talk to pilots, visit the facilities, collect schedules and luggage tags, and watch the planes. Am I the only one who likes to do this?

I love visiting airports, especially ones that are not close to my home (MHT/BOS). I just go because I like to watch airliners (I can see Cessnas from my house anyday, but not 777s) etc. I guess I am a nut of sorts (I have hung out at BOS when it was -20 F wind chill)

I hang out in the AIRMALL in PIT when I have free time. I like to eat in Fridays in their big glass room that gives really cool views of the C,D, and commuter (E) concourses.

Not at all. I love the airport, though I wish I could afford parking at YYZ. If I could, I would spend a lot more time there than I do now. The airport is awesome

I love going to the airport. Watch all the planes that lands and t/o is just great. Even though it might get boring on a small airport like GOT sometimes.

I love going to the airport. Every time I fly United, I look at the itinerary and hope for a long (not too long) layover in ORD.
I go out to Charlotte-Douglas quite a bit, especially since I found the observation area, which has a great overview of runway 36L/18R. I spent about 2 1/2 hours out there the other day watching planes take off an land. It's very relaxing.

Hmm, hope y'don't think that now, if ya did before
No looka, particularly if in teens or twenties, and if the airport's big enough to get daily mainline jet service, (maybe, million passengers a year or bigger), it can be a lot of fun. Into the thirties, life's responsibilities can tend to make it somewhat more difficult to do. But the feeling still can be there of course, in patches, and some memories from past days to superimpose 'em onto as well.

I love going to the airport to watch planes take off and land do the same as you, collect luggage tags and airline schedules. Unfortunately my local airport is VERY boring! All you will ever see are Canadian Regional F-28's and Dash 8's. And 2 hours could go by without one plane coming in or out. But when I am at the larger airports I love it! I even drive out to my airport often just incase something different is in. Sometimes I am surprised!

As you can probably tell you are not alone here! I love going to the airport when I can, to watch the planes and absorb the atmosphere and goings on. In fact, if I could I would move the the airport!! . Visiting large airports is even better, and I also try and get long connections or check in early...
