Good evening,
After listening to the news, I learned a pilot crashed his plane mid field at Pierre Regional Airport in Pierre, South Dakota. It's going to be interesting what the FAA has to say. The pilot's name has not been identified nor they do not know who was flying it.

More information to come, and here's all I got along with a video from my local news.

The pilot apparently kept a blog about the work he did on the airplane.
Last entry was 27th aug.
Intersting to read now.

Nothing to say

And he had another blog about his experiences travelling with this aircraft.

If you read the whole blog, he seems to spend more time in the workshop than in the air.

Do you need at least x hours in the air in the last y days to remain current?.

Also can you just put a different engine type up from than the original certified design.
