Garuda has applied with the DOT for permission to list its "GA" code on China Airlines services between Taipei Taiwan and Los Angeles and San Francisco in the US.

The carriers state they intend to launch the codeshare arrangement on or about October 28, 2012.

Garuda states it intended to resume commercial activities in the US which were previously served directly until 1997.

GA plans following codeshares:

CGK-TPE-LAX - 5x weekly
CGK-TPE-SFO - 2x weekly
