DOT Fines Aerolineas Argentinas - False Pricing

In time to welcome them to Skyteam, the DOT is out with a $50,000 civil penalty against Aerolineas Argentias for violations of price advertising rules.

DOT alleges that airfare searches conducted on the AR website returned listings of outbound and inbound legs that failed to include required government taxes and fees.
By failing to properly display the entire price of the flight to consumers, the airline violated established pricing advertising rules.
