UA Cuts More Flying For 2012

I spoke with one of my ORD based ExpressJet friends and he said they lost over 60 lines of flying for September.

Hopefully it's ERJs that are cut. They are very costly to operate in our high fuel price environment. Especially for small cities, with so many domestic hubs there really doesn't need to be high frequency from any small spoke to a particular hub. EG: GSO doesn't need to be operated 6x a day to EWR when CLE and IAD are also nearby.

Flying is always reduced in September. The fall pull down happens every year.
