Lufthansa CRJ In Trouble Above MRS

Posted (9 months 4 days 12 hours ago) and read 4244 times:

D-AEBM was cirkeling around MRS for a while when they squaked 7700. At the same time 2 other planes were holding as well. Was this a 7700 due to low fuel? It did land from the other direction after another round.

Why were planes holding around MRS and if they couldnt land why would LH not have fuel to divert to NCE or LYSfor example?

I could, but this is A.net, normally there are immediate answers to questions. ( like someone working at the airport, family on the flight, working for LH etc etc.   )
