Good for ISN! UA to DEN on November 4th, DL to MSP on November 14th. Good month!

What does this spell for the ZK service to DEN and MSP direct or via TVF? does this spell the end of the road for ZK at ISN, or is there just simply enough demand that ZK can make it with EMB-120's vs the CRJ's of DL an UA? Thanks!

I doubt ZK will be able to keep their service. Even though it's not subsidized, UA/DL will no longer have a reason to book passengers via their flights.

ZK only goes to DEN (one via Dickinson) and ended IN-XXX-MSP not too long ago. I really wonder how long thiat ISN can support this added service. Especially in the non-tourist season LOL. I do know some folks that have relocated to ND directly related to oil boom, so perhaps it'll be somewhat long lasting.

I was wondering the same thing myself, although Williston's population has essentially doubled in the last couple of years, and a large percentage of the oil field workers have families back in other parts of the country. Add in the fact that many of them are making six figures (or near it), I would guess the demand is there, at least as long as the oil boom continues.

Quoting burnsie28 (Reply 10): Also it notes that ZK's service is often weight restricted on their aircraft, allowing them to carry few passengers.
The passengers will feel right at home on the CRJ-200's then.

However, the CRJ is not near as restricted (percentage-wise) as the EMBs. IIRC, the Great Lakes has the RT models, too, which don't help things.

Seems like a long turnaround for a CRJ200? Why is it such a long turnaround? It seems that DL would want to use all the time the plane has availible, wouldn't they?

???? It's an 1:15 turn in ISN. That isnt too bad. They have to go back to MSP to hit a bank. No point in leaving early. If they turned in ISN in say 30 min, they just spend more time on the ground in MSP waiting for the next departure.
