Good to see them expanding on the smaller airfields in the Netherlands. With new crew basses at EIN and ROT +expanding competition at AMS, such a base makes it much easier to make profit on a wider range of routes.
Now they still lose a lot of money on taxi's and hotels (crew that is outbound EIN are all based at AMS, so most of the time they stay at the hotel in Geldrop, near the airport).

Good news for HV!
I hope they will be succesful with these new flights.
It's good to see a local airline expanding iso. the regular WIZZ or FR services.
Now if only HV would take on a new nice livery and some more interesting aircraft than 73G's and 738's......
flown on : F50,F70,CR1,CR2,CR9,E75,143,AR8,AR1,733,735,736,73G,738,753,744,319,320,321,AB6. Next flights AMS-ZRH-AMS on

Lol, yes please..
Btw, I think it is save to assume that the new BUD-RTM route will replace the current 4 weekly BUD-AMS right? Which means maybe a new 4 weekly route out of AMS then. Or are HV slots transferable to KLM?

They will also open Eindhoven-Copenhagen - 4x weekly from the 3rd of April 2013. Nice to see them back at CPH after the failure with Transavia Denmark.
So what? What is the point of your comment? He never claimed it was his original work plus maybe there are people on here who do not visit that website.

HV is not doing well at this moment. For Oct/Nov over 70 flights are already cancelled due low bookings. It's cheaper not to operate the aircraft. This is stated in internal communcation from the airline.
I highly doubt that these new routes bring success. The airline has to find a cheaper way to operate (it seems), and I think that they try the local airports now where handling fees are lower compared to AMS.
Temporary contracts of cabin crews are not extended this year as part of the current situation.

Agreed - their staff costs are certainly higher than those of competitors like Easyjet.

Correct, the RTM-BUD route will replace the AMS-BUD flights.
4 x weekly from Rotterdam as from April next year

Operating out of Rotterdam and Einhoven could be cheaper (it probably is). I am not sure. But it could also reach new passengers which might have not traveld at all or with other LCC's from the regional airports in (or near) the Netherlands.
November is usually the "worst" month of the year. The flights for the wintersports have not started yet. Summer schedule has ended. And there is also not much demand for citytrips etc. Last year they did thesame.
It's quite sad to see that the RTM-MXP route could no longer be booked. Hope to see it again next summer. But its doubtfull as you can't book and flights for this route for the next summer.
Anyway It's a loss. But passengers who would like to travel from Rotterdam to Milan can also travel with LH with a transfer in MUC as from October 1st.

True, but that isn't any different from the past five years... Everyone except Pursers and cabin crew with a Purser to be contract (CAP contract) will be out from november untill atleast februari, that has been the deal for years now...however, this year a lot of INI's got cancelled, and the upcomming year we wont see that many new people enter HV, since the new CAO allows HV to let FA's do one extra flight a month+ the new crewbase at RTM/EIN will result in more crew that is actually flying instead of being payed for sitting in the taxi..
Things are bitter at the moment, and i think we can only wait and see how EIN and RTM will work for HV.. i wish them all the best.
