Even though I have to work until midnight tonight, I'm going to try my damdest to get up early tomorrow morning and head out to LGB for the festivities celebrating JetBlues's opening of service (And future hub) at Long Beach Airport.

I want to get my hands on some of those promotional items. Maybe some flyers, bumper stickers, lapel pins, maybe T-shirts, and who knows what other goodies will be handed out. A must for any airline memorabilia collector. Not to mention that it will be a historic occasion for both JetBlue and the LGB airport, and I ant to be part of the festivities. I also plan to take some pictures. Maybe I'll be lucky and get a picture of David Neelman. Maybe I'll be real lucky and get my picture taken with him.

Anyone else planning on attending?

The VW Beetles were actually at the Griffith Observatory last Thursday and there were guys handing out bumper stickers and frisbees. Unfortunately, we got there right after about 743 schoolkids, so getting a frisbee would have required theft. I did get a bumper sticker though..

Wish I could be out there to go to LGB tomorrow, oh well..

Awesome.

Matt and everyone who will be there, please let us know what they are giving out and if possible, get pictures of the items. Maybe some of them will go on auction at ebay.

thanks
russ

post pictures of B6 merchandise if possible!

Make sure you guys get one of those jetBlue totebags. It is a totebag that is the size of a regular backpack. I got one and it is awesome. I also got an A320 model, and a T-Shirt, and a jetBlue Hat.

10AM at LGB. I'm going to try and get there between 8 and 9.

If anyone who reads this is there, I will be wearing my trademark denim blue shorts along with a collared shirt, unbuttoned with a white tee shirt underneath, and black Doc Martens. And I'll be carrying my camera.
