now D-ABYD to join the fleet. ...and from 13th September add BLR to that list.

I'm due to fly BLR-FRA on the 748 next weekend, and was checking the fraport website, it seems like the FRA-BLR is being operated by the same frame D-ABYD both yesterday and today. I was not able to find information from further back - but does LH rotate it's 748s over the 3 destinations, or do they have the same frame do the same destination all week long?

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity. And I'm not sure about the universe.

No, it's scheduled today for a customer acceptance (C1) flight, delivery :TBD.

Perhaps Boeing and ABC are planning a double delivery, together with L/N1463/RC604, also on the flight line with a delivery date : TBD.

I apologize, I haven't been following this thread too closely, but... have all of the 748s requiring change incorporation been delivered? Are there more 748s in storage?

? = Not confirmed
*= Only one (1) source : http://lh-taufnamen.de/lufthansa
**= Boeing Customer code not known.
***=Boeing internal airline code CGC = Air China Cargo . However no “not identified “ customer is added to the Boeing order list. Aircraft are probably leased from a still unknown lessor (GECAS, DAE ??) seen the fact that a direct order (or a changed order from the 747-8I to -8F) must have been reported to the HK stock exchange. The Boeing customer code could be -FT (Air China Cargo) or the customer code of the lessor.

What's the deal with line numbers 1433 (RC553 in 747classic's list) and 1438 (RC554) for Cathay Pacific? They've already taken delivery of two earlier frames by line number and several later examples as well. I would imagine that they weren't delivered out of the box for the same reason that the three Atlas NTUs haven't been (apparently,) that they don't perform as well as later builds, but plenty of "early" frames are now delivered and in service. Is it just a case of Boeing prioritizing other refurbishments and deliveries over these?

I believe CX Cargo has deferred some deliveries due to the weak cargo market - these may be those deliveries.

We are quickly approaching the 50% mark on 747-8 production. Hopefully we will see some more orders or even just firming of previously announced orders by years end.

I know we are supposed to be somewhere around 1.5-2 frames a month, but at what frequency are position changes occurring?
