BOA To Start A340 Service VVI-MAD-VVI

Several times BOA (Boliviana de Aviación) indicated they will start MIA and MAD services;

VVI-MAD-VVI service will start on November 22nd, with A340.

Any infos out there whose A340 it will be, that BOA will use for this longrange service?

The only A340s with brazilian airlines currently are JJ's stored A345s. Guess that BoA will use one of them. PT-MSL is currently stored at GIG so I guess it is the candidate for flying for BoA. The other 345 (MSN) is parked at MLA.

Maybe they will be using this aircraft? Never heard of this airline before....

I don't think so. Conviasa's A340 is still banned to fly into Europe.

Probably because airlines from Venezuela are banned from flying to Europe so it's not the aircraft they operate.

Where the plane is made doesn't have much to do with where it has flown, who has owned it, who currently owns it, or how they maintain it.

Whatever A340 they are going to use, it won't be something that rolled off the production line yesterday.

That's not correct. Only Conviasa is on the EU blacklist: http://ec.europa.eu/transport/air-ban/

I'm not sure, but HiFly of Portugal could operate the flights for BoA. They have already two A340-300s (both are long-term leased to Royal Air Force respectively Royal Australian Air Force). But they will get three more A340-300s from Emirates soon.

Have the other Venezuelan airlines been audited should they want to fly to Europe? I have a hard time believing they will pass the audit unless they use leased aircraft from countries who are allowed to fly to Europe.
