Air France A320 painted in Retro scheme had to make an emergency landing today at Leipzig enroute to St. Petersburg due to sudden decompression. The plane is one of the oldest A320 still in service.

Quoting na (Thread starter):
due to sudden decompression.

It was actually a slow and progressive depressurization ...
The aircraft is F-GFKJ, msn 063, in service since Sept. 1989

The Bild article made me chuckle - "Die 100 Passagiere (darunter ein Kind) konnten das Flugzeug verlassen". Unless the aircraft crashed the passengers (including the child) would be able to leave it, wouldn't they?

Please, please no content from Bild, they hype such stories to the death. It's an awful newspaper.

For a DC9, 23 is considered "late adolecense"

F-GFKJ is scheduled to be retired from service soon ... That's why it was chosen to be painted into the retro livery ...
