On departure from ORD this evening I noticed a Lufthansa A346 which had been been moved to a remote stand. It was dark but it had about 5-6 cars parked underneath and there were several men on a platform shining flashlights at the tail empennage.

Curious if anyone knew anymore about this.

I bet it was an A343 instead, since the A343 to Dusseldorf was cancelled this evening.

Do they fly a replacement aircraft in? Obviously they can't simply put everyone on tomorrow night's flight because that flight already is full.
