as a planespotter from Kristiansand in Norway I got really exited this morning when I heard on the news that a new airline will start to fly from Kristiansand next year. We can expect to see routes to London, Barcelona and Nice.
It wants a simple fare structure, nonstop flying to under served markets, and a good quality. At least the size and range for the Embraer 190 makes sense for the Norwegian marked. The 738 that DY uses are sometimes to large. Although DY has still offered so competitive prices that they have made up demand on the routes they fly.
It will be interesting to see how DY will respond to this. I guess other regional airports wants FlyNonstop to fly from their airports. But with DY awaiting 222 new Airbus A320 and 737, they would at least have the capacity to respond if FlyNonstop is successful.

Why? They have a very rich owner, and they will use Denim Air that already has an AOC.

That it does, the ERJ 190 makes a lot of sense for this. I'm sure they and Denim Air have done their figures and worked out that the operation is economically viable.
