Being a native Long Islander, I cannot be the only one here who yearns for more service into ISP. With US Airways starting the third daily flight to DCA this Sunday (Oct. 28th), does anybody have any ideas what our next new service might be? I'm still holding out hope for at least a daily flight to CLT from US, but maybe could we see any increased WN service? I know RSW was down to a single daily seasonal flight last summer but it has since been cut. With WN discontinuing LGA-BWI in favor of BNA-LGA, will we see any increase in frequency between ISP and BWI? We already have six flights a day which seems to be sufficient, but you never know..... Also, and this is a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG shot, like it's probably never gonna happen, but do you ever think US Airways could do a daily Dash 8 to BOS? They do it to some other destinations in NY and PA, but do you think they could swing it out of ISP? I am asking this more from a do-you-think-it-could-be-successful point of view, than a do you think it happen point of view, because we all know what the answer to that is.
Anyway, I'm surprised no airlines have tried to give Chicago a go lately. I know American Eagle flew ISP-ORD until 2005(?) and WN flew MDW-ISP until last June, when they moved the service over to LGA. Any chance we will see UA give it a try? I find it hard to believe that 1-2 daily CRJs couldn't work? Or maybe DL with a daily CRJ-700 to ATL? There must be enough connections in ATL to make that work.
Also, I know that we had the B6 talks fall through the floor, so I'm not even going to address that, but what do you think we might possibly see next?
Any and all input is greatly appreciated and encouraged!!!

There is talks of possible SJU service from ISP IF and when we start flying to SJU on our own metal.. ( SWA ), however look for SWA to basically be flying ISP-BWI and to points in Florida, also look for a Key West direct flight coming soon too..

When it comes to JetBlue in ISP and NYC over all, I think its funny. Uncle Shumer a few years ago was one of the most important figures at B6. B6 used to do anything for Chuck, now he means a lot less to nothing to B6 anymore.
I remember a little while back ISP was trying to get Canada service. Any update on this?

Rumor is that AC might be the next airline to start ISP service.. IMHO its more likely to see them vs B6 at ISP.. For those who have been in the ISP area have probably seen the HE Sutton 727 ( N725CK ) and an Ameristar MD-83 ( N786TW ) have been frequent visitors to ISP lately.

You're probably right, I was just thinking that, if PVD can only support 2x B1900Ds a day, they might start out with them and upguage them later if the route does well. Though based on the 3 daily CRJs to JFK and the hourly mainline to LGA, I guess some of that could spill over into ISP for a few daily CRJs.
