Has anyone heard -- and I may have missed the news, so my apologies if I have -- when F9 will be releasing its scheduled extended past the current May 15, 2013 and to when it will be extending the schedule? I'm looking to book flights in July, and I'd really like to be able to go ahead and book on F9.

Book with a credit card. No one knows if F9 will still be around in 9 months

As opposed to writing a check?

Do you have anything to back that up? Republic has been right sizing F9 and improving their financials to make the airline more attractive for potential buyers. I'm sure they'll be around longer than 9 months (maybe with a different owner)..otherwise it was a terrible investment on Republic's part.

No as opposed to a debit card. No one will want to buy F9. There is no future for them.

Whenever you buy a ticket on ANY airline you should always use a credit card. You have more rights against an airline in a dispute that way than if you would have paid with cash/check.

F9 has made some money recently and I think it would take well over a year for anything major such as a shut down to happen to them.

I am wishing Frontier and all their employees only the best.

First full year profit in ten years? Something's changed:

http://www.bizjournals.com/denver/ne...o-siegel-frontier-airlines-on.html

"CEO Siegel: Frontier Airlines on course to profitability; could bring jobs back to Denver

Frontier Airlines is headed to its first profit in roughly a decade and is continuing to negotiate with city and state government leaders over tax breaks that could lead the company to bring hundreds of jobs back to Denver, president/CEO David Siegel said Thursday."

I don't think anyone will want to buy Frontier, but that's only ever been one of three options available to them, and arguably the least desirable..

Now I am not putting in any opinion here, I am just saying, things can change a lot in one quarter; for good and bad.

You will either love or hate the airline industry. If you love it, it will get in your blood and it will never leave.

Sure can, for negative or positive. But he didn't say "one quarter" - he said full year.

And one quarter can affect and entire year.

One month can, as we saw with Southwest in September.

We can only ever work with what we presently know and the projections based on that. But those projections also include the relevant past, so any full year profit by Frontier has to cover the Q1 loss.

Mister Positivity strikes again. You realize this is a F9 thread not a WN one right? LOL

I wouldn't think July would be open for sale by them until next month.

Any opinion/comment posted is that of my own and not that of Southwest Airlines Co.
