What domestic pier are you referring to? Down by gate 8? It's been recently renovated and looks quite good! The 80-90 gate area kcould do with an overhaul, EI still operate all their flights from there, I'm not aware of any planned upgrade works!

Gate 8, as of now, only BA's LBA service would be using it as BHD ad DUB go from Pier 4A. They are not going to need five stands for a single route. All other domestics are now at T5.

Leeds doesn't start until 7th December so right now there is only Belfast domestic .
Plus Dublin common travel area services plus the following European services Transferred from T5
Dusseldorf - transferred (Why this since it's a code share with oneworld partner AB and there must be tons of connecting traffic from the Rhur business community !)
Luxembourg- transferred - 2 daily flight with rubbish times for Point to Point business anyway !
Lyon - transferred
Marseille - transferred
Toulouse - transferred
As for the provincial french flights have BA decided that to compete with AF over CDG they should offer inconveinent terminal connections as well?
Plus
Hanover - Ex bmi regional service
From December the following new services are added
Rotterdam - New (possibly includes some slot sitting rotations) - Starts 9th December
Zagreb- New starts 9th December
Then the various mid haul services using those ex bmed A321s

The key point being that none of the above will be using pier 4, as it lacks seperation of arriving and departing passengers. So will it just be standing empty?

Presumably T1 "Gate 8" area is the area the VS domestic flights will operate from? I can't think of anywhere else at LHR that can accomodate them. Has the gate area for the VS MAN flight been confirmed?
