Boeing Announces Russian 737MAX Order

Boeing and the State Corporation Russian Technologies (Rostech) announced today a commitment to purchase 35 737 MAX airplanes making this the first sale of the model in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

This from the posted press release:

"Boeing and Aviation Capital Services will work to finalize the details of the order, valued at more than $3.5 billion at current list prices. When complete, the order will be posted to the Boeing Orders & Deliveries website as firm."

Not quite an order or sale, but still good news.

They also pay for the titanium by keeping an engineering office open in Moscow.
