2 JAL 787s At Boston Now

Sunday's outbound JAL 7 is stuck in Boston because of an inoperative PA system. It is now parked next to a China Air Lines 744 cargo jet that is among a dozen or so JFK diversions...DL 744, LA 763, Jamaica 738, and many more.

Today's JAL 8 is an hour out (JA827J), so that will make two JAL 787s on the deck in Boston today for a short while.

Looks like today's flight 7 left an hour late. And yesterday's flight is underway finally too. Rough days for JAL in BOS.

I would imagine that at first, a broken PA doesn't sound worthy of grounding a plane over. But when you consider that it's the way a crew communicates with passengers, the PA rises to the top of the list of safety things a plane ought not leave without. Either that, or hope everyone knows sign language.

I would imagine that this would be a loud and effective way to disenchant potential future customers- but I'm new here and not sure if your post was serious or not.

Never has gravity been so uplifting.

It was probably meant as a joke, but it's hard to tell on here.

BTW, welcome to A.net!
