Appearently Delta is resuming Saturday only BDL-MCO service for a month starting 16 Feb 2013 until 30 Mar 13... does this show any signs of Delta trying to regain life at BDL?

I think this is more of a statement about MCO than BDL. This was announced in September (there's a thread on it somewhere) that DL was adding a few Sat only routes from MCO for about a month this Spring.

It is nice to see past routes being brought back.

Ah I didn't see that. Just thought I'd post since I was just told this a little while ago.. Is there a chance they will keep MCO as seasonal out of BDL depending on the numbers it may bring back? I want TPA to come back...

Nice to see this added back.

It's sad to see how much DL has surrendered to LCCs at BDL. No more PBI, FLL, TPA....no more SLC, LAX, LAS, or CMH.

Glad you did post it! I had forgotten about it. Personally, I think that the route could probably sustain a daily E-175 on a seasonal basis.

It's so funny to see this as back around 2003-2006/7 didn't DL have at least 1-2x daily on Song 757's....and now to hear it could only sustain daily E-175 on a seasonal basis? Times have changed...

I personally agree. If a market like GRR-MCO can work with a E175, then I think BDL can too, or even just 1 B737-700 even. I really miss TPA, SLC and LAX out of BDL. Sounds like BDL is trying to get B6 to do LAX from what I've heared. BDL Airport officials are really pushing for B6 to LAX... I hope it comes!

A 737 could work on the route, but they only have 10 in the fleet and they are stretched pretty thin. Though an a319 couldn't be too unreasonable.

As per B6 LAX service, that would be awesome! Give the flyers a good service for a transcon.

Yeah, that's the word going around from a friend who's a TSA SUP at BDL is that the airport is really pushing B6 to do LAX nonstop. I think that one would stick because everyone around BDL loves JetBlue and their service so far. They are upping SJU to 2x daily I believe this winter, and they are moving gates to acquire a 2nd gate.

2x daily SJU? NICE. Glad to see that BDL has been a very successful station for B6 and let's hope to see some further expansion in the future, starting with LAX!

"DELTA from 16FEB13 to 30MAR13 is expanding Saturdays operations to Florida, mainly Orlando and West Palm Beach. The airline plans to launch/resume 4 routes while adding additional flight on 3 other mainline routes.

The new and/or expanded services are now appeared in the GDS during 10NOV12′s weekly schedule changes.

Orlando – Hartford Service last operated on 02JAN12
DL1320 MCO1230 – 1517BDL M88 6
DL1320 BDL0845 – 1145MCO M88 6 "

Hopefully this means more expansion for BDL! I've heard rumors of SWA to HOU, UAL to IAH, DAL to SLC, RPA to CMH, and the many B6 rumors. Point is that the airport is coming out of a downfall. It looks like the new Executive Director is really pushing for new flights!

Were BDL-FLL/PBI/TPA suspended at the same time that BDL-MCO was?
