Mr. Hogan, CEO at EY, stated in this article that within the next few years, EY would like to add a few more cities including cities in California (can only think that would be LAX & SFO) and ATL. Yes ATL, but that is on conditions of agreeing on a code share with DL. That totally makes sense and I wonder if this has to do with the AF/KL partnership with EY. Based on O&D numbers, ATL could no doubt support one Gulf carrier, but I have serious doubts about it being able to support two. If EY is going to codeshare and partner with DL, they would be the best fit. But if EY get there first, QR wouldnt last in ATL.

I wonder with TK starting service if that has hindered EK restarting a second daily IAH flight. Otherwise I could see EY start IAH taking similar time slots of the previous EK flight. However, I'm not sure if that second flight generated any decent revenue for EK.
