Maybe, though I feel that EK has been touting this aspect of the airline and crew for a while now, long before TK could claim to fly to the most number of countries - remember those ads about "Malena", the EK cabin crew?

That's quite humorous, especially where the crew welcomes a passenger in one language and gets "Thanks, I think." in reply.
I always have enjoyed hearing all the languages spoken by the crew and it really serves to show how diverse they are. One one flight we had crew from Bulgaria, South Korea, Argentina (hi Carlos!) Thailand, Croatia, Sweden, Taiwan, Malta, Indonesia, Germany, Ethiopia, New Zealand and Tunisia.
On another flight the languages included Arabic, English, Tagalog, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, French, Creole, Afrikaans and Amharic.
But I have also met crew from Russia, Serbia, Spain, Portugal, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt and a few more. Oops, I forgot Australia.
It's like a mini United Nations and one of the features that I find appealing.

Is it ? On many India flights, they do not have a single FA who can speak the native language(s) on board atleast in Economy. I found QR, UA and LH to be better in this issue. And India is still their biggest market.

Nice ad. They truly are a diverse airline. On a flight with them last year, a crew member I was speaking with switched from a more continental english accent to Singlish when she realised I'm Singaporean lol
