JSC Orenburg Airlines, d.b.a. Orenair applied with the DOT for foreign air carrier permit to allow services to the United States.

Orenair states it seeks to initially offer charter services between the Russian Federation and the US using its fleet of 189 seat 737-800 or 364 seat 777-200 aircraft.

No proposed route specifics are offered, however Orenair already operates to beach markets like Cancun, so as guide they are likely to go after places that are attractive to Russian point of sale tourism.
