On 11MAR2013, LAN Ecuador will continue its expansion in the Ecuadorian domestic market with the launch of daily services to the city of Manta utilizing the A-320. Manta (MEC) will become LAN Ecuador's sixth domestic destination within Ecuador. Also, on the same date, LAN Ecuador will increase frequency on the UIO-CUE route to 3x daily (A-320) and the UIO-GYE route will operate 73x weekly (A-320). LAN Ecuador also operates daily into GPS and twice weekly into SCY. Flights to MEC are already loaded in GDS and on LAN.com.

LAN Ecuador has also been awarded additional frequencies to the Galápagos. On 11MAR2013, the carrier will increase frequency on the UIO-GYE-SCY route from 2x weekly to 4x weekly utilizing the A-320. On 12MAR2013, the carrier will increase frequency on the UIO-GYE-GPS route from 7x weekly to 10x weekly utilizing the A-320.

With these new frequencies in the Ecuadorian domestic market, LAN Ecuador will be the dominant carrier on the UIO-CUE, UIO-GYE, UIO-MEC, and UIO-GYE-GPS routes.
