I know the plans of the international expansion from Southwest and the New I-Terminal for HOU. However, does anyone think any new airline will start service here, the ticket lobby besides Southwest looking bare. Also what about existing airlines adding new routes?(excluding SW)

If UA is really mad at the whole WN/UA/IAH/HOU fiasco, they would get Copa to start service to PTY to take one of those gates and slots away, or if they really want to get back at WN, they would play dirty and have their own service from HOU to Latin America destinations.
But other than the international expansion, I see WN adding more domestic flights because I still feel like they aren't using HOU to it's full potential. The rest I see as S.S.D.D.

IMHO, Houston O/D could well support up to a daily HOU CM E190 service to PTY hub, but maybe no more.
And pretty sure there are some current UA destinations in Mexico and Central America with enough Houston O/D to support some kind of extra service from HOU, like what AA in MIA did with extra FLL flights once.
I would love to see one of situations play out, not because I am vengeful, but because I like to see businesses get creative and try new things. That said, how would WN react if UA/CM did this?

Quoting william (Reply 2): There have been rumors of expanding the main runways after buying nearby land, do not know if thats going forward or not.
The Houston Airport System (HAS) had at one time plans to increase the length and width of 12L/30R, of course they also had talked of adding a parallel runway to Runway 4. Just not sure any longer what HAS is doing with this director they have in place now.

If CM was to fly to HOU and WN was to also start PTY, WN may find itself in the wrong end of the stick, as CM PTY hub connecting traffic might be able to fill a HOU bound flight but what WN is to offer @ HOU may not be able to draw that much traffic from Panama City alone.

Being the largest domestic carrier in the US, I'm sure WN could find a way to fill a daily 737 to PTY.
I see HOU growing between now and the 2015 launch of international flights with additional nonstop flights to places like BOS, PDX, SFO, OMA, BUF, ORF (seasonally), and DCA (at some point).

While I've been to IAH this year, I've not been to HOU for a long while and didn't get to see the gates area.
Now with the new concourse, does HOU do have enough room next to a gate to squeeze an small F.I.S. right there (like CHS or ORF have)?
Not necessarily for CM, but It'd be good to see HOU getting a proper in-terminal port-of-entry in some weeks time.

This doesn't have much to do with HOU, but I wonder why no other airline has tried MKE-HOU? Especially FL in their heyday, adding stuff like MKE-SRQ and Branson. YX made it work for a bit as I remember. WN MKE-HOU, do it!!

If you're talking about currently, I am not sure about that, but as USFlyGuy said, no. The new FIS concourse would be where the former C-gates used to be that at one time housed all non-WN flights. Has anyone seen any plans of the new concourse and when construction is about to start?
