A friend has informed me that TransAsia's first A330 has been delivered and will arrive in Taiwan (TPE possibly) today (27 November, 2012), and there will be a ceremony welcoming it at TSA tomorrow afternoon.

If anyone has the opportunity, it should be good to see.

Edit: Added the Airbus press release link.

I'm tired of the A vs. B sniping. Neither make planes that shed wings randomly!

I read someplace that they will get two A330-300s in additiona to some A320 and A321. Not sure where they will fly them, but my guess would be HKG or NRT.

Indeed, GE has two A333 on order, as well as a pile of A32x aircraft, both current and NEO versions.

The A333 are slated to fly to SIN and other Asian destinations -- I don't remember all the destinations off-hand. GE is, overall, a very well-managed airline and has been profitable for most, if not all, of the 60 years it's been in business.

Important to note that for most of its existance, it actually was NOT an airline. IT mainly made airline food. It was an airline to start way back when but stopped flying for many decades.
