Airblue Operate First A340 Today

Having completed necessary formalities the first A340 will operate the carriers rerouted service to MAN also inaugurating the link to Lahore, the flight was to operate yesterday but was put off for unknown reasons, it will leave LHE at 1.30pm Pak time with a stopover in Islamabad.

Also their second A340 arrived recently, seen here leaving Istanbul on delivery

Istanbul has been dropped, but this new nonstop service made a fuelstop in Ankara.

Why would it make a stop in Turkey when it can make it to Manchester without refueling unless they pick up more traffic? and drop off passengers.

It made the stop on the return leg not when flying to MAN, not an expert on aviation but maybe weight restrictions had a part in this.

Interesting, so PK has some competition. But a 343 has plenty of range to go LHE-MAN plus more - so why the stop in Turkey? Can't be weight. Security?

If they pick up traffic than it makes sense. Yes PIA has competion now with Airblue with there A343 and Shaheen air with there A 333 and boeing 734 and 738 and 762.

Why not? just guessing there were too much load onboard to carry more fuel so they stopped at ANK for that?
