DOT Approves Boutique Air Startup Authority

The DOT today published its order granting commuter air carrier authority for Redding California based Boutique Air, Inc owned by travel technology firm Open Trip.

DOT found the carrier was fit, willing and able to perform services while conforming to FAA and DOT regulations and demonstrates the having access to financial resources sufficient to cover initial operations.

Boutique Air proposes initially operating scheduled service between Redding and Oakland utilizing 9-passenger Pilatus PC-12 aircraft.

I think they have had the Boutique name for a bit now (2007?), so the name is not solely for this scheduled service venture.

Seems like they do charters with their aircraft based in Van Nuys and Redding.

I would imagine the flights would operate out of the North Field through a FBO.
