I wonder how long this airline will continue
The only hotel on Grande Comore island has closed down
for urgent repairs for at least 3 months
South African Airways has downgraded their weekly
flight form a 737-800 to a 50 seater regional jet.
The SP sure is expensive to operate

I would guess this route exists purely for the Comoran immigrants in France- most of whom reside in Marseille. Since Emirates suspended their Moroni flights, the only scheduled way of getting there (aside from a very big South African detour) was on Yemenia via Sana'a. Even Yemenia had problems- at first the Moroni flight was operated with a 727 which had weight restrictions due to the large quantities of baggage being carried on the route- it was eventually upgraded to an A310.
