Twitter says that as a hint it is in the GMT+8 time zone, so it is not in the USA. This would be Central Russia, most of Mongolia, all of China, the Philippines, Central Indonesia, and Western Austrailia.
That's too bad, as I was hoping that they would announce BOS. Hopefully, that will come later!

Well, they already fly to Perth, so unless it is port hedland, it's not Australia.
How about Denpasar (bali)?
Edit: never mind, see they already fly to Denpasar.

Could it possibly an Eastern Europe city, then go on to America? They just added Athens to JFK for the upcoming summer, since there wasn't enough service. There is no service to Budapest, Bucharest, Krakow, or Sofia from the USA anymore.
Perhaps one of these(or Kiev or Odessa) to a USA city??
Not really far-fetched. Lots of Arabs in Detroit, especially Dearborn. There is already a flight on Royal Jordanian, for starters, to give you an idea. But since people can go to Iraq more freely, and since Detroit has the most Iraqis of any US city, people are going, and this would be a connection option.
I am not familiar with the QR route structure, but IF they fly to Monrovia(ROB), that also increases the chances of DTW, as Liberia is strongly connected with Michigan, too. A flight getting connections from DTW to Iraq AND Liberia is bound to make a lot of money.

Would be great to see them in AKL. As I understand it, they fly to MEL and PER, how about an add on to AKL. If the QR CEO happens to read Airliners....maybe I can throw AKL into the mix?
