Does anyone know which routes the refurbished 767 fly on?
Plus, does anyone have any information as far as what improvements they've made? e.g do they now have personal entertainment etc

Seven of BA's fourteen long-haul 763s are being upgraded.

I believe that the upgrades on these aircraft include:

The installation of a slightly modified (to allow for the narrower cabin than that of the 744s, 772s and 77Ws) 2nd generation lie-flat seat in the J Class cabin.

New W and Y Class cabins including new larger overhead luggeage bins, new Y Class seats, new side-wall and bulkhead panels new lighting and new toilets

Latest Thales AVOD System in al seats

Only seven long-haul configured aircraft are being updated as the other seven are due to be replaced by 787s with deliveries scheduled to start in May 2013. Currently the fourth of the seven long-haul aircraft (G-BNWT) is undergoing refurbishment at CWL.

All seven short-haul 763s are being upgraded.

I believe the upgrade on these aircraft include:

New slim-back Y Class . seats, new drop down screens, larger overhead luggage bins, new side-wall and bulkhead panels and new lighting and toilets

Reconfiguration for between 247 and 259 passengers (C68 / Y179 to Y259) including an additional row of Y Class seats in the middle cabin. (Old configuration was C134 / Y95 to Y252.).

Currently the fourth of the seven short-haul aircraft (G-BNWB) is undergoing refurbishment at LGW.

The longhaul 767s will retain the original Club World seats but with new covers on both the seat and the surround.

World Traveller Plus and World Traveller will also get new seat covers and IIRC new cushioning but will retain the original seats.

The Thales AVOD will not be installed on these aircraft. They will retain the original Rockwell Collins AVOD. The intention is that these aircraft will be gone by 2015.

LCA will be one of the routes to see the short haul 767's...

However until all the refits have been completed, you will not know if you get one of the old or refitted aircraft.

Its a bit like the lottery at the moment. I flew G-BNWZ the other day and its one of the un furbed ones. IFE was broken and some seats torn. Quite a lot of complaints to the crew who could only respond by explaining that they were in the process of being refurbished and apologised. Still it did not ruin my enjoyment of being on the B767 , gotta love those aircraft.

'WB re-entered service (LHR-EDI) yesterday (5 December). The fifth short-haul configured 763 (G-BZHA) is now being refurbished at LGW..
