Qatar DTW Service - When Will It Start?

a couple months ago Qatar announced service to DTW in 2013...has there been any hinting to when exactly they were planning on starting it and what aircraft they were thinking about using?

Qatar never made any sort of firm announcement regarding DTW service (or any of the other planned US destinations announced at the same time).

That being said, I believe it when I see it. Qatar has a track record of talking about plans but not actually starting them.

Qatar has not announced service to DTW; it has merely suggested that Detroit is a city it might fly to, among dozens of other candidates.
