VX Adds Own Lounge "The Loft" At LAX

I think that this is a great touch. I am suprised that SFO was not first. Kudos to VX for innovation amongst a small niche carrier. I remember YX doing something similar in MKE with the Best Care Lounge.

Good on them, love the name! They are such a unique and fantastic carrier. It's a true shame they aren't more profitable.

No point doing their own lounge when there is a perfectly decent lounge at SFO from Virgin Atlantic already. LAX was a bit of a sore thumb though, it definitely needed it! Looks great, can't wait to try it. Seen their video tour? It's pretty cool too, although a little too sparse for my tastes.

I am not. LAX is the place i think they should have focused on first and been HQed.

That's long overdue. Their LAX terminal is lousy and gets very crowded, and they've had nothing to offer loyalists or J fare passengers.

Exactly. As nice as The Loft is, it doesn't offer the same level of amenities the Clubhouses do.

I was in this lounge last month when flying Virgin Australia and it was nothing to write home about. The interiors was all finished then. The only change seems to be the food and drink offering.

This is an answer to the VX digs in T2 @ SFO. Really nice upgrade for T3 @ LAX as that terminal is/was in bad shape. It was TWA's old haunt back in the day. This upgrade along with the others planned for LAX will have her regaining her stride & place as one of the premire Int'l gateways anywhere in the world.

The Virgin Atlantic lounge at SFO is only open for a few hours each day, so it is really not available for most Virgin America flights. Plus it is not in the same terminal.
