AA MD80s To Get MCE?

With the MD80s being phased out of the AA fleet, I was sure these weren't going to see the addition of MCE. However, 4YR is now showing seating layout of 16/119 instead of the standard 16/124, suggesting a row of seats has been removed. Does anyone know how far across the fleet they will do this?

Never heard that it would be 100% fleet wide. Surely the 762s and vastly older MD80s will not receive it, or am I wrong there too?

MD80's are getting MCE, not sure of the numbers though. Mods have already started.

16F/119Y is the new configuration of the Super 80s. All of them will be reconfigured.

Can I assume this will finally get rid of the odd layout which left the A/B seats in coach with less leg room than the D/E/F seats?

IDK how/where AA is doing the mods but DL was doing EC on an overnight. They didn't add the more comfortable, padded seats until later on. I'm sure it's the same thing with AA. A relatively cheap upgrade that will see instant ROI. Only makes sense.

The MD-80s weren't included in the original announcement IIRC, but they are indeed getting MCE. As others have mentioned we're not sure of how many will be reconfigured.

I think it depends on how many are to leave the fleet this coming year 2013. The ones that are due for their D Check soon are the ones to leave the fleet, so those ones would not get the MCE layout.
