It simply looks like after Jan 2, 2013 it goes Sat/Sun only through the end of the current posted schedule.

AA added a 2nd SJU-ORD (B738) for this winter/holiday season; not sure if 2nd flight is daily. Since CO went away, UA/CO's presence in SJU has been reduced. At its peak, CO had like 2 daily to IAH, some 3 or 4 daily to EWR and a weekend CLE...no more.

I remember when ORD-SJU had like 5 flights per day.

I'm showing that the second flight is Sa only. Nevertheless, AA commands ~80% of the marketshare on ORD-SJU at present.

SJU has been ceded to the US-based LCCs. Personally, I can only see a few legacy strongholds that will be able to maintain a high volume of flights to SJU such as MIA and JFK due to strong VFR and commercial traffic. Maybe ATL.

I remember when AA flew LAX-SJU nonstop. Those days are gone as well.

next flights: jfk-icn, icn-hkg-bkk-cdg, cdg-phl-msp

Fares start around $300 roundtrip, all in, and there's zero business in PR any more. That's where ORDSJU has gone...
