I read about Turkish Airlines converting some A340-300 options to about 3 A330s a few weeks ago. At the time it was merely a rumour but i've noticed its being reported in Flight International 3 A330-200s will join the fleet. So, I take it this is definite?
Anyone with more info such as an official press release, please post!
BTW, what do you think of Andrew Hunt's photos? I think his work is excellent. A CX A333. They got another one today right?

Actually this order has been around for the last year or so. Initially TK had planned on ordering 7 A330-200's as replacements for their A310's. The order was put on hold last year due to a anti Turkish bill that was passed by the French parliment. Now that ill feeling in the Turkish government againt France have cooled down the order was announced initially for 3 aircraft. Look for a additional order in the future as TK does need replacement widebody lift on its European and Near East routes as its A310-200/300 fleet start leaving.
