Looks like the first G650 was delivered to a US based customer today (12/20). Any idea's on where it is headed? The FAA Database shows 60 in the system.

Just checked Flightaware ... looks like 711SW is airborne. Looks like the Wynn Resort has a new airplane  http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N711SW

The second delivered G650 was N100A which flew away to GGG a few hours after 711SW had left, but flew as a blocked flight (as it should be).

I had heard the last hurtle for Gulfstream before first delivery (among others things I'm sure) was the sound proofing interior. I bet it's safe to say they won't deliver 18 planes by the end of the year as they had stated earlier in October though. Good to see things are moving forward. I know of one flight department which is eagerly looking forward to getting two of these next year

IIRC, the former N100A was a GLF4 or GLF5 owned by a large oil company based at DAL.

Most recently N100A has been a Global Express, which has now been re-registered N102A to make way for the G650. As you say with a "(very) large oil company".

Exactly, but the reference was to the Exxon/Mobile complex they're building in The Woodlands.

I wonder if Nike will re-register it's current N1KE to another registration to put N1KE on it's new G650?

The G5 N1KE has already been re-registered to N6453 (the "normal" registration for the #2 aircraft in the Nike fleet) and N1KE is a reservation held by Gulfstream, so it looks almost certain that the G650 will be delivered as N1KE.

The fourth G650 is also, apparently, likely to be delivered today (26 Dec 12): N762MS SAV-ROG http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N762MS (Flightaware shows it as a GLF5 but it will be a G650 (re-registered from N608GD))

Right-oh. 6-4-5-3 spells N-I-K-E on an alpha-numeric key pad. Clever.

I noticed N711SW ( Wynn's G-650) is doing nothing but 1 hour flights. Why buy a $65 million dollar airplane with a 7000NM range just to do short domestic hops?

I see the G650 also received it's EASA TC just before Christmas, so we'll soon start seeing them being delivered into Europe as well.

Perhaps he still wants to spend Christmas in Sun Valley like the rest of them...wouldn't you? Surely after the New Year it's off to Macau and what-not.

Probably flight training, since it is a brand new airplane, there are no experienced G-650 pilots out there other than Gulfstream’s factory pilots, so Steve Winn’s pilots need to build up some actual flight time, I am sure they already completed their Flight Safety training in the simulators and received their type ratings but for insurance and FAA rules they need a certain amount of flight time before they can act as Pilot in Command.

Looks like N762MS didn't actually go until the 28th, but still went SAV-ROG
Then N524EA delivered on 31st SAV-INT http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N...A/history/20121231/1800Z/KSAV/KINT

So, unless anyone knows of any more, it looks like Gulfstream managed 5 deliveries before the end of 2012 versus their plan to deliver 17 (Q2 investor conference call).

I thought that N650PH that was at NBAA in Oct was going to be the first G650 delivery

It flew in as N613GD but while on display it wore N650PH.

It reverted back to N613GD to leave NBAA and, as of 27 Dec, was still flying as N613GD (operated SAV-FXE-SAV).
There was speculation that Gulfstream would achieve their first G650 delivery during NBAA but that obviously slipped again back to 20 Dec.

A quick update:
6007, 6008, 6010, 6011, 6012 have all been delivered (see 5 deliveries above)
Apparently 6006, 6009, 6013 are all possible deliveries soon. 6006 will be the first for Europe (it will be Russian owned (but not registered)).
