WN and FL just cancelled All flights out of MDW and MKE starting at 4pm.
Depending on winds and weather RON aircraft are still planned to arrive tonight.
Today started the christmas travel weekend rush this is going to hurt.

MCI has high winds and ICE right now.
MCI Airport is having a hard time keeping the runways open.
I don't see RON aircraft making it into MDW if the Snow turns to a ICY mix tonight .
Weather calling for blowing snow tonight causing white out conditions.

DSM was pretty well closed this morning, now back open this afternoon with some crazy winds. It appears last nights DSM-MDW was cancelled along with this morning departure. I'm somewhat surprised the runway is in good of shape as it is after nearly 13 inches of snow. I-80 is blocked in a few spots between DSM and OMA as well as DSM and IOW. I-35 is currently closed between DSM and MCW due to a 25 car pile up with multiple fatalities.
