I'm still upset DL lost the LSU contract. SMH
Did Delta "lose" the contract or did Delta choose not to renew? I absolutely hated some higher ranked teams when working as charter coordinator for DL because they would never listen, absolutely trashed the airplanes when they flew in/out, and were absolutely horrible to the F/As. Miami comes to mind, bunch of thugs. I wonder if that was the same for LSU.
Nice pics!, LSU riding in style as usual with that SEC money.

Yeah UA got the Saints too.

Wish I knew. I think UA just went after them both and got them. Was really surprised when the Saints switched as it was just after winning the Super Bowl, thought with superstitions and everything that they would never change but they did.

The Delta 744 out of BWI probably came in as ferry and will park at TPA for a couple days. It will fly out January 2 to DTW carrying Michigan band and alumni members, while an A330 will probably carry Michigan football team. I am not sure why Delta flew down from BWI, does Delta do troop charters? Michigan is playing South Carolina so that doesn't explain BWI unless another football team that would use BWI that had a game pre New Years used it.
The Delta A333 from TPA to ATL was more than likely a repositioning flight - It came down a couple days back from DTW bringing in Michigan Alumni members. It went empty out ot TPA up to ATL and will be used on a transatlantic out of ATL
Apparently University of Nebraska used a United 747-400 to fly them from Lincoln to MCO for the Citrus Bowl (refuse to call it Capital One Bowl)
MCO has been getting United 777s lately too, I think one was used by Rutgers for their Friday Night game in Orlando against Va Tech.

10-4, makes sense. It (N661US) is sitting where airside D used to be.

There were multiple busses lined up at it on Saturday afternoon about 45 minutes before departure so I assumed it was taking people somewhere. I did not think that it was the other way around...duh. Thanks-
Quoting GCT64 (Reply 18): The Delta 744s are very regular visitors to BWI, mostly operating BWI-RMS (Ramstein)
Yes, that is where she came from prior to coming to TPA.

I figured it was a troop charter of some sort flying out of BWI since that is a troop charter base, wasn't aware Delta was doing military charters though.
That Delta 747-400 is supposed to leave TPA any minute now carrying the Michigan football team back to DTW.

There was a EZ Jet 767-200 that flew from SFB - LNK last night, might have been a University of Nebraska fan charter.
